Hi there, welcome to JESS ANNE.

My name is Jessica and I am the founder of JESS ANNE.

I have always been a creative and was always buried in the corner of my room somewhere creating something or drawing. Although I have many passions for all types of creative process and mediums, textiles has always been the one that fascinated me most. Sitting with my grandmother watching her use her sewing machine, seeing all the colourful yarns that my mother kept whilst she would knit some kind of bonkers jumper, my younger self was always imagining what I could possibly create next. I used to go to the local haberdashery, pocket money in hand and raid the 5p scrap fabric bin, running home and creating patchwork cushions and tiny teddies, and I always dreamed of the things I could create when I was older! With a passion for fabrics combined with my love for tradition, I pounced on the chance to study woven design for fashion and interiors. Since then, woven design became my primary focus and finally, through years of study and exploration, I plucked up the courage to set up shop!

I started my brand in 2019 from my home in Broadstairs, offering handwoven products from my little studio that draws inspiration from various sources including my surroundings, graphic structures and the brightest of colour palettes! My designs will focus on bringing colour into people’s wardrobes and homes for people to cherish and enjoy for years to come, just like I cherish every jumper and blanket that was made for me as child. I aim for my fabric to provoke positive emotions within people, to make them feel confident when they wrap my shawl around them and ready to take on the world!

My products are currently all handwoven and my materials are responsibly sourced from trusted suppliers. Now more than ever, consumers are more aware about their buying habits and as someone who feels so strongly about sustainability and the environment, I wanted to bring to market a brand that represents the importance of slow textiles, whilst remaining contemporary and fresh.

I hope you enjoy my products just as much as I do and please get in contact with any queries or collaboration requests.

Bye for now!
